If you live in Lynnwood and your washer just died, or you’ve got a king comforter that will never fit in an apartment machine, you need a straight answer about where to go. Not a listicle. Not ten places scraped off a map, half of which closed in 2019.
So here it is: three walk-in laundromats inside Lynnwood city limits, what each one is good at, and what to do if you’d rather not spend your Saturday sitting in front of a dryer.
One thing you should know before you read another sentence. We’re Bims Laundry Cafe. We run a laundromat ourselves, in Everett, not Lynnwood, and we do pickup and delivery into Lynnwood. So we’re not a neutral party, and you should weigh what we say accordingly. We’ve written this the way we’d want someone to write it about us: facts we can verify, credit where it’s earned, no swipes at anybody. The Lynnwood shops below are good businesses run by people who show up every day. We’ll tell you plainly when one of them is a better fit for you than we are.

Where a cell says “not published,” we mean it, we’re not going to guess at hours or machine sizes and send you across town on bad information. Call ahead if it matters.
Darcie’s has been at it since 1998, which in this business counts for a lot. The 60 lb front-loading washers and 75 lb dryers are genuinely large, big enough for comforters, sleeping bags, and the kind of backlog that piles up when a machine breaks at home.
The 6:00AM open is the real advantage. If you work early or you want the place quiet, nobody else in Lynnwood is open at six. They also take drop-off wash/dry/fold if you’d rather hand it over.
Best for: early risers, bulky bedding, and anyone who wants a place that’s been proving itself for a couple of decades.
Tide Clean is open until 10PM daily, with the last load going in at 9PM. That’s the most useful thing about it. If your day ends at 8, this is where you go.
They also do wash and fold with same-day drop-off service, and, worth saying clearly since we compete on this, they offer pickup and delivery too. If you want a Lynnwood-based operator handling your pickup, they’re the one inside city limits doing it.
Best for: night owls, second-shift workers, and same-day drop-off when you need clothes back today.
This one covers all three bases: self-service coin laundry, wash and fold, and drop-off. Commercial washers and dryers, free WiFi, free parking. If you’re going to sit and wait with a laptop, free parking and WiFi are not small things on 196th.
They don’t publish hours or machine capacities online, so call before you load the car if you’re on a schedule or hauling something oversized.
Best for: a straightforward self-serve visit where you want the option to switch to drop-off once you see how much you’ve got.
The honest truth is that a lot of people don’t want a laundromat. They want the laundry gone and back, clean.
Two options serve Lynnwood on that front. Tide Clean offers pickup and delivery from inside Lynnwood. We offer Lynnwood laundry pickup & delivery from Everett at $2.68/lb, 48-hour return, with free delivery on orders over $80 and $10 off your first pickup with code FIRST10. We also handle dry cleaning pickup on a 2–3 business day turnaround using GreenEarth solvent.
If same-day matters more than anything, Tide Clean’s same-day drop-off is the faster path and we’d point you there. If you want it picked up from your door on a 48-hour cycle, we’d like the chance to earn it.
Skip laundry day entirely. 48-hour wash & fold pickup anywhere in Lynnwood, $10 off your first order with code FIRST10.
Size is the whole game here. A king comforter needs room to tumble, if it’s packed tight, the detergent never reaches the middle and you pull out a damp, soapy brick.
A 60 lb front-loader, like the ones at Darcie’s, will handle a single king comforter fine. If you’re washing a comforter plus its duvet cover plus sheets in one go, or you’ve got two comforters, you want more drum than that. Our 90 lb Dexter holds roughly nine regular loads, which is why people drive over for bedding day. More on that in our comforter washing guide.
Either way: skip the top-loader with the center agitator. It wraps the comforter around the post and does a bad job.
Inside Lynnwood city limits, the largest we can confirm is the 60 lb front-loader at Darcie’s. The largest we know of nearby is our 90 lb Dexter in Everett, about 8–14 minutes from most Lynnwood neighborhoods. Tide Clean and Maytag both run commercial equipment but don’t publish capacities, call them if size is your deciding factor, because they may well have something that fits.
Self-service is almost always cheaper per pound. Drop-off buys back your time. Our wash and fold runs $2.38/lb, so a typical 20 lb load is around $48, versus maybe $10–15 in machines plus two hours of your Saturday. We can’t quote the Lynnwood shops’ rates because they don’t post them publicly, so ask when you call. If you’re comparing, ask whether the price includes detergent and whether there’s a minimum.
Tide Clean Laundromat, based in Lynnwood, and us, from Everett. Those are the two we can confirm. Coverage areas and cutoff times differ, so check that your street is on the route before you plan around it.
Genuinely, the best laundromat in Lynnwood depends on what you need. Early morning, go to Darcie’s. Late night or same-day, go to Tide Clean. Want to sit with WiFi and free parking, try Maytag. Want the biggest machines and a coffee while you wait, we’re a short drive up I-5, you can see our self-service machines and pricing before you come. If you live farther north, our Everett laundromat guide covers the options there the same way.
We’d rather you find the right place than the closest one to us. That’s the whole point of writing this.
